Russian Cross-Cultural Communication and Negotiations Training
Cross-cultural training enables Americans to understand and work effectively with
Russian partners. Participants:
- gain an understanding of Russian culture and daily life in social and
business environments;
- acquire a concrete, personalized "tool kit" of skills for establishing and
maintaining solid working relationships;
- learn to prepare for negotiations with Russians and achieve mutually
advantageous agreements;
- learn how to communicate diplomatically and use appropriate business
protocol and etiquette to avoid costly mistakes;
- learn to anticipate, understand, and respond to perplexing or unexpected
behavior, make good impressions and keep relationships going, and
accurately gauge the tone and significance of business communications;
- learn to recognize cultural factors at work in international situations and
use cultural differences to mutual advantage;
- learn to feel confident and be at ease in business and social settings.

support staff at organizations either contemplating or doing business with Russians in the U.S.
or in the CIS.
Consulting and Project Support

social, economic, cultural, and historic terms
- Insight on partner's understanding of specific operations concept and

- Assessment of obstacles to establishing operations overseas i.e.,what
to watch for
- Advice on logistics for establishing and maintaining good relationships
between the foreign partner and American project staff
